Redefine Success

Confidence doesn’t always arrive boldly. Sometimes, it builds quietly, step by step, as we show up for ourselves day after day. It grows when we choose to care, even when we’re unsure of the outcome. Every time we take action despite self-doubt, we reinforce the belief that we are capable. If we’re going to find success for ourselves, we must understand that it isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about trusting that you’ll figure it out along the way. What does it mean to succeed?

The key to making things happen isn’t waiting for the perfect moment; it’s starting right now, with what you have, exactly where you are. Big goals can feel overwhelming when viewed all at once, but momentum builds through day-to-day, ever so small, consistent action. Whether you’re working toward a personal milestone or a professional dream, progress comes from showing up — not perfectly, but persistently. Action creates clarity, and over time, those steps forward add up to something real. We call this something “success”, and it is real.

So, what is success for you, really? Can you define it? Does the target ever move? Over time, I have redefined this for myself. It wasn’t an easy choice, but it was necessary for my own development. See, the milestones get bigger and success means more each time you succeed. And like an actual junkie, “success” was like crack to me. Waking up in an adrenaline withdrawal state of stupor, worshipping the wins is no fun. But it woke me up, regardless.

Guess what? You don’t actually need to be extra smart, strong or fearless to reach your goals, you just need to be willing. Willing to try, willing to learn, and willing to believe that you’re capable of more than you know. Striving begins to seem worthless when you realize every moment matters. Showing up consistently and staying on mission every day leads to success as a byproduct. When the thing you’re used to chasing becomes a simple byproduct of showing up, you might have won the game! The road may not always be smooth, but growth rarely is.

What matters most is that you keep going, keep growing, and keep believing in the version of yourself you’re becoming. Success is just that! The continuation of you becoming more and more like the you you’re meant to be will increase your value to the world and “success” will just be there. So, who are you becoming? Successful? What is success, anyway?

Consider the bold step of redefining success and you might be surprised with all the succeeding ;)
